Asset Allocation Team

Nicholas Lee, Director of Investment and Fund Management

Nicholas Lee is Ashburton's Director of Investment and Fund Management. He has direct responsibility for the core strategies of Asset Management, Cash and Fixed Income and Equities. Nick joined Ashburton in 1988 and has over 30 years experience in the investment industry. Nick is a member of the Securities Institute.

Tristan Hanson, Head of Asset Allocation

Tristan Hanson is Ashburton's Head of Asset Allocation and has responsibility for Multi-Asset and Fixed Income Funds and related research. Tristan joined Ashburton in 2008 and has 9 years experience in the investment industry. He holds a Masters in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and a BA (Hons) in Economics from Durham University. Tristan attained the Securities Institute Diploma in 2000.

Derry Pickford, Macro Analyst

Derry joined Ashburton’s Asset Allocation team in November 2011 as Macro Analyst, providing research insight into investment strategy. He has 12 years experience in the investment industry, including 8 years as Chief Economist at a $9bn emerging market hedge fund manager. Derry holds a BA(Hons) and MA(Hons) in Economics from the University of Cambridge (Clare College). He also holds the Investment Management Certificate.

Luke Gale, Investment Manager

Luke Gale is an Investment Manager within Ashburton's Asset Allocation team with responsibility for bond and currency research, and management of the Total Return Bond Funds and Money Market Funds. Luke joined Ashburton in 2003 and has 7 years experience in the investment industry. He holds the Investment Management Certificate, a PhD in engineering and is a Chartered Market Technician (CMT).

Asian Equities Team

Jonathan Schiessl, Investment Manager

Jonathan Schiessl is Ashburton's Investment Manager responsible for the Japan and Chindia Equity Funds. He joined Ashburton in 2000 and has 16 years experience in the investment industry. He obtained a Social Science honours degree, specialising in Economics, at the University of Hertfordshire.

Craig Farley, Investment Manager

Craig Farley is an Investment Manager at Ashburton with responsibility for the Japan and Chindia Equity Funds alongside Jonathan Schiessl. Craig joined Ashburton in 2003 having graduated from the University of Reading, upper second class (hons.) in Business & Management. He is currently studying for the Chartered Financial Analyst qualification (CFA).

Simon Finch, Assistant Investment Manager

Simon Finch is the Assistant Investment Manager for the Japan and Chindia Equity Funds. Simon joined Ashburton in 2007 and has 8 years experience in the finance industry. Simon qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2004 and holds the IMC designation as well as a BA (Hons) in Finance from the Nottingham Business School.

Nick Skiming, Investment Manager

Nick Skiming is Ashburton's Investment Manager with responsibility for the Americas Equity Fund. He joined Ashburton in 2002 and has 22 years experience in the investment industry. Nick attained the Securities Institute Diploma in 1992, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (FCSI). He also holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).

Jonathan Aldrich-Blake, Investment Manager

Jonathan Aldrich-Blake is the Investment Manager for the Americas Equity Fund. Jonathan joined Ashburton in 2005 and has 7 years experience in the finance industry. He graduated from the University of Exeter with a BSc (Hons) in Engineering and holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC), the Securities Institute Diploma, and is a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.

European Equities Team

Richard Robinson, Investment Manager

Richard Robinson is Ashburton's Investment Manager with responsibility for the European Equity Fund. He joined Ashburton in 2000 and has 12 years experience in the investment industry. Richard is a Member of the Securities Institute and holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and Securities Institute Diploma.

Alan le Maistre, Assistant Investment Manager

Alan Le Maistre is an Assistant Investment Manager within Ashburton's European Equities team. Alan joined Ashburton in 2007 having graduated from Cardiff University. He holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and is currently studying towards the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) qualification.

Global Equities Team

Veronika Pechlaner, Investment Manager

Veronika Pechlaner is an Investment Manager in the Global Equities team with direct responsibility for Ashburton’s global equity funds. She also works closely with Investment director Nick Lee on the Global Equity Portfolio product. Prior to joining Ashburton as Investment manager in its European Equities team in early 2008, Veronika worked as Executive Director at Goldman Sachs in London where she started her career in 2001 in PanEuropean equity research. Veronika has been a CFA charterholder since 2005. She holds a Master degree in Finance and International Management from the University of Innsbruck (Austria, E.U.) and participated in the 1999 exchange program at Tulane University (USA).

Bespoke Portfolio Team

Dennis Phillips, Investment Director

Dennis Phillips is an Investment Director at Ashburton. He is responsible for Ashburton's discretionary Bespoke Portfolio service which he has managed since 2001. Dennis joined Ashburton in 1995 and has more than 37 years experience in portfolio management with major international institutions. Dennis is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (FCSI) and an associate member of the CFA Society of the UK.

Alexander Ellis, Assistant Investment Manager

Alexander Ellis is an Assistant Investment Manager working alongside Dennis Phillips on the Bespoke Portfolio Service. Alex joined Ashburton in 2008 and has 6 years experience in the investment industry. He graduated from Brunel University with a BA (Hons) in History, holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and ACI Dealing certificate. He is currently studying towards the Chartered Financial Analyst qualification.

Anthony Teixeira, Assistant Investment Manager

 Anthony Teixeira is an Assistant Investment Manager working alongside Dennis Phillips and Alexander Ellis on the Bespoke Portfolio Service. Anthony joined Ashburton in 2009 after graduating from the University of Lincoln with an upper second class (Hons) degree in Finance & Management. Anthony holds the Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) and is currently studying towards his Investment Management Certificate (IMC)
